Paying for Golf....?

So I have to join the ranks of the paying customer on the golf courses. I have been priveledged to play some great golf courses the last few years for free, i.e. Portland Golf Club, The Reserve, Pumpkin Ridge, Crosswater, Torrey Pines, Waverly, Eugene CC....

I do have to start paying for golf, but I have heard through a fellow R&D guy that we might be able to write some of our golf expenses off as testing. I will have to look into that.

What I have been looking into, but probably won't do until we buy a place down here, is join a club. I have always wanted to be a member of a club. Get off of work, stop by the club, play 9 holes or hit some balls, then go home to the girl and the dog. Thats what I want. There is a place just up the road from here that I think I would really like. It's fairly cheap...

It's a $500 initiation, and $150 a month for a unlimited golf weekday pass. And $2000 initiation, and $225 a month for an unlimited 7-day pass. I don't play on the weekend usually so I was looking at the weekday pass, but both are a smoking deal. Just check out the course. (click the pic to go to website)
