About 3 weeks ago my knee was feeling a little bit better so I started to run again. I got a brace to help out with it, found out the condition I have is called Jumper's Knee. Kind of strange since I got it running...

So I will be updating the Odonater, keep your eye on it!

Here Is My New Baby...

So here is a picture of my new Dell Desktop System. As you can see it totally kicks ass...

Here are the finals specs for you, incase you missed it earlier. (Going to get nerdy on you, remember 94 Nerd Score...)

- Pentium D 940 Dual Core 3.2 GHz, 800MHz FSB
- 1 GB Memory (need to eventually upgrade to 2+)
- 160 GB Hard Drive (will add another after the warranty expires)
- CD/DVD Burner with Double Layer Write capability
- 13 in 1 Memory Card Reader
- 19" Dell Ultrasharp Digital Monitor (one on the right)
- 19" Widescreen Digital Monitor (one on the left)
- 128MB ATI Radeon X300 SE Video Card
- Altec Lansing 7-speaker system with subwoofer and remote
- Microsoft Wireless Mouse
- Dell All-In-One 924 Printer/Scanner/Copier

And here is what I can do with the wallpaper on the dual monitor...

And once again I totally stole my computer system. Normally all of this would cost $1333 for the system from Dell + $100 for the speaker system + $300 for 19" widescreen monitor = $1733.

I got it for $866 for the Dell system - $150 rebate + $80 for speakers + $180 for extra monitor - $240 in Best Buy Gift Cards =

Giving me a grand total of $736!

The Coolest Video

Tiger once again one a major championship, and once again Nike did something cool. Nike got their hands on a camera that is used for military purposes. The camera is able to take up to 4000 still frame photos a second! And then the started to take photos of Tiger's swing. All I can say is this is just incredible! (Only for high-speed, it'll take a while to load)

Here is the front view:

Here is the cool "at you" view:

And here is the TV spot:

Another Work Trip...

On Wednesday I woke up early and started my long drive to Klamath Falls. I stopped of in Medford and played at Eagle Point just outside of Medford.

It was extremely hot, and as I found out later even got a little heat rash. The course was great though. I played from the tips, feeling like I was hitting it long, and played fairly well. I hit a 4wood into the eighteenth hole to 5 feet for a birdie to finish my round at 72.

After I was done I then finished the drive into Klamath Falls and checked into my hotel. I stayed in this Best Western and man did it rock. When I checked in it was dessert time, and they were pulling fresh baked cookies from the oven. They were absolutely awesome, and they served it with some nice ice cold milk......

The next morning we had the best continental breakfast I have ever seen. Pancakes, waffles, fresh baked cinnamon rolls, bagels with cream cheese, cereal, fresh fruit, and a ton of muffins. I ate so much I was stuffed until dinner!

The next 2 days were spent sitting under a tent on the range sweating away the pounds. Seems like I always get the east side trips when its a 100+ degrees.

New Computer !!!

When Karen leaves for Italy later next month. I told her to take my laptop because she is used to it and it runs great (knock on wood :D). So I purchased a new desktop. We really needed one for the house, it is much easier to use and will be a media center for us.

So after looking around I found a great deal. I got a Dell E510, and just about stole it again. If you remember when I bought this laptop, it was like I stole it from Best Buy... well it's not that good of a deal but it is good.

So here are the specs:

Pentium D Processor 940 with Dual Core Technology 3.2GHz, 800FSB)
1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz
19 inch Ultrasharp™ 1907FP Digital Flat Panel Monitor
128MB PCI Express™ x16 ATI Radeon X300 SE HyperMemory
160GB Serial ATA (7200RPM) w/ 8MB cache
13 in 1 Media Card Reader
16X CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) w/double layer write capability
Dell Photo All-In-One Printer 924

All this usually sells for just over $1200, I got it for $866 plus a $150 rebate, making it a great deal at $716...

I then had all this Best Buy credit, that I got from graduation and scammed from Best Buy. (I cancelled my internet for 2 months then signed back up when they had a deal that got you a $75 gift card and a free modem. Then I returned the modem for $80... :P) So I got a great speaker system for it that has two satellite speakers, a subwoofer, and a remote. And then I got another 19 inch widescreen monitor, so I can rock the dual monitors.

Man this system is going to rock!!!

Paul Oakenfold

On Saturday night Karen and I went to the Paul Oakenfold concert here in Portland. It was a great chance to see one of the best DJs in the world! We got there at 10pm and listened and danced through two opening acts, and then Paul came on at 12:45am... The guy just before Oakenfold started out really good, then he started to drift and be very repetitive. So we were kind of tired when Oakenfold came on, but really excited! We stayed until just after 1:30 then we were exhausted and had to head home.

Oakenfold was just awesome!! He just has so much energy and depth in his music. His music also flows really well, there doesn't seem to be any real low points or much repetition. He definitely is one of the best I have ever heard. I hope to see Paul Van Dyke someday too, he is my other favorite DJ.

It was really hot in the Crystal Ballroom and everyone was really sweaty. People were sweating even if they were just standing there. Anyways it was a great night, sorry about the bad picture and video; they were taken from Karen's phone which doesn't have the best camera on it.

How I Roll...

I know some of you wonder how I transport all of my stuff around for demo days. Well here are some pics of the a Hybrid that I normally take. As you can see I load it up fairly well...

I have to take out the front passenger seat to fit the tent in the car.

And as you can guess there is a special process to load the car. Each bag has its position, and each bag has to be loaded in order, otherwise no worky...

These are pics from my demo day for the Oswego Lake Country Club's Member-Guest Tournament. And tell you what I had the best sandwich ever at this demo day! They had a buffet table set p and at the end there was a cook taking sandwich orders. You told him which meat you wanted and he pulled out a big slab of freshly cooked meat and sliced off some chunks. Then he placed it on freshly baked and sliced bread. And topped off with fresh trimmings and some great cheese. It was just ssssoooo delicious....

A Sad Day In Racing

Most of you don't follow racing. But there was a news conference the other day that made me really, really sad... My favorite driver of all time, Indy dominating, tire burning, driving on a jagged edge, Juan Pablo Montoya has officially gone redneck!;(

All I can say is that Juan has been an awesome road course racer, and I am sure he will do awesome in NASCAR. And I am sure he will kick Gordon's ass on the road courses...

Oh well maybe it will just be for a year or two. Hopefully he keeps this moving around thing up, maybe we will see him in the FIA WRC really soon!!! Now that is where he should be with his driving skills.

4th of July Weekend

Karen and I flew down to Stockton to go to Aunt Patti's son Paul's wedding. It was in this real nice mansion out on the river delta.

The wedding was short and sweet, and everyone had a real good time. The cake was awesome! It was not a traditional wedding cake, it was light and fluffy.

For the second half of the weekend we headed up to Karen's dad's house. We spent a night up there and played a round of golf the next morning. Karen actually played a little bit! She played maybe 5 or 6 holes, and she even bogeyed one of them. She said she had a good time, so maybe it wont be long till she wants to really play. She had no trouble smashing driver, but she has no short game at all. Hit it easy is not in her vocabulary!

The day after we got home from California, we drove up to Burien for the 4th of July to hang out with Meg's and her parents. They live on this cool little private lake. And it felt wonderful to go swimming, it was just a perfect temperature. The also have a fireworks display for all of the residents on the lake, and man was it exciting! About half way through the show one of the shells was shot into the water about a hundred feet from us. Dud right??? Nope, it then exploded and shot some water up, scaring the shit out of us all! It happened again to the other side of the lake, but it was two of them and the looked closer to land... Sure did add excitement to the show.
